Being the star of multiple franchises, it’s unsurprising that Pratt gets asked to tease the next instalments. During a press tour for The LEGO Movie 2, he was asked about Jurassic World 3. Fans will remember that last year’s Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom ended with the beginning of a new era, with dinosaurs free to roam among humans. Jeff Goldblum’s Dr Ian Malcolm aptly called it, “a Jurassic World”, just before the end credits scene saw a pterodactyl atop the mini Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas.
So whatever Jurassic World 3 sounds like a mash-up of The Flintstones and the Walking Dead.
And in an interview with MTV News, Pratt said: “I can’t say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away.
“I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
“Like, ‘Wait, what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we can’t put them back in the box. What are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet?’”
He added: “This is an experience for fans that truly never will be matched again in the history of cinema.”
While on Good Morning America he added: “I am a vault of information that would break the internet…everything it promises in the previous movie, it delivers on and so much more.”
Jurassic World 3 is set for release in UK cinemas on June 11, 2021.
