Last year the first trailer for Avengers Endgame landed with Tony Stark in a pretty sticky situation.
Following Thanos’ Snap, he’s taken off in the Guardians’ ship with Nebula but is now lost in space with food and water having run out.
Most of his scenes are him leaving a last message and goodbye to Pepper Potts.
But Marvel fans don’t have to worry as Downey Jr himself has confirmed Iron Man survives. Well, this bit of the movie anyway.
Last month Downey Jr appeared in an Audi USA YouTube video with the company’s Head of Design Marc Lichte.
The pair discuss the design elements of the Audi e-tron GT concept, which the actor reveals he drives in Avengers Endgame.
At 3:40, he tells Lichte that he needs to drive the new car, but the Audi Head replies: “You have driven it already!”
Downey Jr replies: “Well, I mean I… as Tony Stark in Avengers 4, out in theatres in Spring 2019, I did.”
The game sees passengers help Guardian of the Galaxy Rocket on a rescue mission through space, as you’re expected to shoot enemies along the way.
But just who could Rocket be rescuing? Well according to the outlet, he takes a call from Iron Man.
Considering this video game’s name, the fact that the image includes Rocket Raccoon, he’s on a rescue mission and the only other character mentioned is Iron Man, surely this means he’s the one to save Iron Man at the beginning of Endgame?
It would certainly make sense, as presumably Rocket would be able to locate the Guardians ship.
Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
