It feels like we have been waiting an (ice) age for the trailer to finally arrive.
Some species of (big screen) dinosaurs have probably gone extinct since Jurassic World smashed box office records in 2015.
Fans’ love for the dino-franchise hasn’t died, however, and their long wait is about to be rewarded.
Universal Pictures has just revealed the official release date for the Fallen Kingdom first trailer.
Last week we saw the first first tiny sneak peak at Chris Pratt’s character Owen Grady with a new addition to the family. No, Bryce Taylor Howard hasn’t taken off her shoes long enough for that, it is a new raptor baby.
Today, Universal released a stunning three-minute video featuring extraordinary behind-the scenes action and the staggering proof of just how real these new dinosaurs will look.
The studio also confirmed that the first official Fallen Kingdom trailer will arrive on Friday
The first footage in the preview featurette revealed that they are “blowing everything up.”
The whole island of Isla Nuba is erupting in flames. And the explosions are not just man-made. There seems to be a huge volcano blazing in the background as human and dinosaurs flee in terror.
Much of the new film is expected to take place away from the island, after the evil Dr Henry Wong escaped with the hybrid embryos.
The new movie is directed by J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, The Impossible), but was written by Jurassic World director, Colin Trevorrow.
Jurassic legend Jeff Goldblum will also reprise his role as the cynical Dr Ian Malcolm from the original movies.
